Aims and Scope

AIMS
Surya Informatika Journal is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal dedicated to academia, industry practitioners, and policymakers to discuss complex and transformative issues in computer science and informatics. Therefore, we facilitate all research documentation related to the principles of computing, discrete mathematics, and systems engineering to design, analyze, develop, and maintain computing solutions (software, information systems, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure) to solve complex real-world problems in society and industry. We understand there is a continuous process from basic research to digital technology commercialization, so all reports from various Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) are accommodated in this journal. Our mission is to provide information on the digital innovation chain: from data science to value creation, especially in supporting Digital Transformation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) programs.
 
SCOPE
Computer Science and Computational Foundations This scope includes all basic and applied research reports related to the fundamental principles of computer science. This encompasses the development and analysis of algorithms, computational complexity, mathematical modeling, computing theory, and computational methods to validate the "Proof of Concept" of complex computational problems and system optimization.
 
Software Engineering and Data Management This scope includes all research reports related to the software development lifecycle and enterprise-scale data management. This covers requirements engineering, architecture design, software development, testing and quality assurance, DevOps, and modern software maintenance. Furthermore, it includes database design, information retrieval, big data, and data integration and governance strategies to support scalable, reliable, and business-consistent systems.
 
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence This scope includes all research reports focused on knowledge extraction and the development of intelligent systems from data. This encompasses data processing and analysis, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, predictive analytics, and the application of artificial intelligence for automation, decision-making, and the creation of innovative predictive models in integrated environments.
 
Information Systems and Technology Infrastructure This scope includes research reports on the integration of technology, humans, and organizations, along with their supporting infrastructure. This covers the analysis, design, evaluation, and governance of information systems, as well as IT infrastructure such as cloud computing, distributed computing, and web technologies. Crucially, this scope also encompasses computer networks, data communication, information security, cryptography, and cyber protection to ensure system trust and security.
 
Human-Computer Interaction and Ubiquitous Computing This scope includes research reports centered on user-centric and ubiquitous computing systems. This covers human-computer interaction, usability, user experience (UX), accessibility, and user-based system evaluation. Additionally, it includes the architecture and application of the Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, smart systems, as well as the development, optimization, and security of web and mobile applications in real operational environments.
 
Applied Computing and Digital Transformation This scope includes all applied research reports demonstrating the implementation and downstreaming of information technology in real operational environments. This covers the application of computational methods and digital technologies to solve specific problems in domains such as healthcare, education, government, and industry. At this level, the developed technology must be in its final expected form and tested to ensure real-world impact and technology adoption in society and the market.
